Chapter 13 - The Taming of The Tongue

gossips-
[Proverbs 11:12-13]
12 A man who lacks judgment derides his neighbor,
but a man of understanding holds his tongue.
13 A gossip betrays a confidence,
but a trustworthy man keeps a secret.

[Proverbs 16:27-28]
27 A scoundrel plots evil,
and his speech is like a scorching fire.
28 A perverse man stirs up dissension,
and a gossip separates close friends.

isn't it fun to just talk and talk about someone that you yourself aren't sure of the facts itself?
isn't it exciting just to dig and dig around just to find out the latest news about one person where you THINK you know the facts?

well, let me give all you readers a piece of my mind.

[Romans 1:28-32] : God's Wrath Against Mankind
28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

look what category gossip falls under? wickedness, evil, greed, envy, murder, malice, slanderers, God-haters, arrogant and boastful.

seriously, don't people look for facts before they start spreading news without evidence? or even, think about what will happen if you yourself are the topic of a gossip? friends are meant to cover each other's nakedness, not expose them all! especially when you don't even have evidence of a reliable source. (that means, from the SOURCE itself!)

so, think again before you start spreading news again. i'm sure you don't want to fall in the category where verse 32 is talking about.
if only people would spread the Gospel the same way they spread gossips, there would be a revival.

ps. yes, this would be considered as my first rant. but it has indeed become a serious problem so everyone should know whats it all about.

Chapter 11 - The Pain

*phew* i've just recovered from an ordeal -- Gastric. it has never been this bad before, guess its becoming worst. in fact, this is only the 3rd time in my whole life that it happened. and yes, its very very painful.

i woke up at 8am just to find myself in pain. i thought it would wear of after awhile (like the previous 2 experiences) but no, it went on. so, being smart, i drank water, ate half a slice of bread, made milo.... and waited...

...the pain was still there!

seriously, it felt like ages in the span of 1 hour. i was sweating cold sweat on my palms and feet. occasionally i thought i'm gonna die. lol! anyway, i prayed and all i could hear was "you haven't been taking care of yourself so this is your consequences" so yea..

my mum finally noticed my agony and she brought medicine that tastes like melted-polo-sweet thingy and i'm supposed to drink 2 cups of that. the pain continued to last for another 30 minutes or so. then this thought came "maybe it isn't gastric.. might be better if i go to the doctor or worst -- the hospital". so, i got up and voila!i'm healed!

i find it very amazing though. just seconds before that i thought i'm dead but after i stood up, i was completely healed!

God works amazingly, don't you think? another evident sign that God loves us and He never forsake us. even at times when we deserve the pain, He is there watching over us, ready to catch us the moment we fall. He knows our limits and yet He still let us go through pains and problems in life. this is because He wants us to know that He is LIMITLESS and He wants us to find this power only in Him. afterall, we will only grow if life is uncomfortable, isn't it? this is what makes one stronger.

now, take some time off to thank God for all that He has done in your life. yes, without that problem/situation in your life, you will be in a position far worse than now.

be thankful for He is good and that He is always watching over YOU! :)

Chapter 10: The Celebrations!

i just thought that this would be a rather cute pic. this cat is all ready for Christmas!

[the Christmas cat] (thats what i named the file)

its kinda amazing to see malls and places putting up Christmas decorations already. even in my own home! i came back from church just to find my family setting up the tree again. this brought me to think (again)..

almost everyone is aware that Christmas is coming and its a time of celebration, fun and presents. lights and decorations everywhere and it really brings out the Christmas mood of one's self. its quite a sight because Christmas is only ONE day but places all over the world are spending so much just to decorate the place. yes, it could be a marketing thing to attract customers to shop and all but really, just take a short moment to think.

why do everyone get so excited in the first place? i mean, its just a ONE day thing. and its been like that for AGES!

well, its a joyful event for sure. especially for us that understands the true meaning of Christmas. where it isn't so much about pretty lights and presents but its all about Jesus. He came as a gift to this earth, and with that, brought joy and life to every living creature.

THIS is the source of the joy of Christmas.

Calvary Youth is taking this opportunity to share this joy, a meaningful one to everyone. If you're reading this, you're cordially invited for ALL the events below:

please bring your friends along!

Chapter 9: The Seminar

hey all! yes yes, it has been ANOTHER busy week. this time filled with assignments, seminars, problems and new business opportunities. assignments, not difficult, just very troublesome and lots to do (still procastinating). problems, bleh. seminars...

i've been in a 2-full-day internet marketing seminar, organized by my trainer in taman tun. i had to help him teach the attendees, guide them, etc. hopefully some will eventually become my clients in the future ;)

business opportunities for Genesis IT Solutions & Services (http://www.genesis-solutions.org) ahhh.. finally something nicer to talk about. just 2-3 weeks after the Seagate Data Recovery partnership and i've found myself a new avenue -- web hosting. my friend has a dedicated server that is parked in Singapore doing nothing. being myself, i approached him and suggested we should do some business together with his server and we've eventually sort out terms to do web hosting. :) this means, Genesis IT Solutions & Services will have another new department by January 2008! thank God for opportunities!

it is really amazing to see God work. to see how 2007 began and how it is going to end, i can tell you that God is indeed a miracle working God. :) trust in Him and ALL will fall in to place, really.

really!

okay, i'm sure most of you should know by now that we've recently established a partnership program with Seagate Recovery Services through ReTriv Systems. ReTriv Systems is the one that brought Seagate Recovery Services to the Asia Region and its based in Singapore. today, Genesis IT Solutions & Services will be Seagate Recovery Services' base in Malaysia! :)

oh btw, Shirts4Real is moving along quite well too! remember the corporate company i was talking about few posts back? the designs have been approved. now its time for quotations and price fights with other companies. hopefully we'll get through this stage as well.

God has been really good as His hands are really upon Genesis IT Solutions and Shirts4Real. all glory unto Him!

Chapter 7 (Part 2): The Birthdays..Again

Chapter 6 (Part 2): The Reminder

"Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: Be holy, because I am holy." - 1 Peter 1:13-16

so many things can happen in just ONE action made from ONE decision. so yea, let us all prepare our minds for action, because everything we do reflects Him. it is tough, and it is indeed a battle we have to face everyday -- the battle for Holiness.

however, if He is for us, who can stand against us? ;)

Chapter 6 (Part 1): The Split Second

its amazing how in a split second, the things we do can make a difference in someone's life..
just 15 minutes ago as i was driving home from subang, this white myvi wanted to overtake me from the left. his signal wasn't on, but i saw him edging in so i just let him pass as i wasn't really rushing for time..

BANG!!

guess what? nope, it isn't me. this motorcycle came right through the gap and crashed into the myvi that was trying to change lanes. the motorcyclist flew (for sure), diagonally onto my lane, in front of my car. obviously i didn't run over him else i wouldn't be here blogging so soon. anyhow, the motorcyclist wasn't badly injured, minor scratches here and there and the myvi lost it's right side mirror. of course, there was a big fight after that. (i could here them screaming and shouting at each other even with United Live - Solution blasting on my speakers)

this incident might not seem great or anything to you, but take a moment and think for awhile (thats what i did). in just ONE second, IF:
- the myvi edged in faster, the motorcyclist would have flown in front with a further distance, and he would be injured for sure
- the myvi took his time (without signal), the motorcyclist would get caught between his car and mine, causing him to be flatten from both sides
- the myvi took his time (or not) with signal, the motorcyclist could have avoided the entire incident
- i drove just slightly faster (say, 10km/h?), i would have run over the motorcyclist

this incident actually reflects our daily lives. in just ONE second, IF:
- we made a bad call by saying some very crude or harsh words to your loved ones, causing that relationship to wither
- we made a wrong decision by taking your own life, ending up in a place you would NEVER want to be
- we discouraged someone else further when he/she is already not feeling good
- we decided to just try something new just because your friends do it so often(and it wouldn't be cool if you don't) and something totally unexpected (bad) happens to ourselves
- we missed the opportunity to share the love of Christ with your good friend and they went away.........

i'll leave this post just as it is so you can ponder about what i've posted above.

ONE decision, ONE act, ONE second, changes ONE life
