Chapter 5 (Part 1): The Updates
hmm.. lets take a look at the things i've to do by early November: PED assignment, Shirts 4 Real website, plans for Calvary Youth, Video Online Malaysia website, plans for Genesis IT Solutions & Services, and still counting.
so much at hand that requires tons of thinking. i really need a team of people for this. people that are willing to spend as much time, effort and commitment just like i do. speaking of Calvary Youth, we're going to have a Christmas Celebration on the 15th of December 2007. plans are still in the midst of drafting but there'll definitely be a celebration. just thought i would let you all know so you would keep your dates free and prepare for this event. prepare, because this is an evangelistic celebration. :) we want to involve everyone in one way or another to impact the lives of others especially this Christmas season. :)

Chapter 4: The Happen-ings
..
look! it says: Genesis IT Solutions & Services at the bottom!
friday (meetings again)
went to ss2 to meet up with tabitha and benjamin ong with benjamin toh. alot of running arounds were done this day.
saturday (today!)
i need to meet a client soon at 10.30am, meet my supplier at 11.00am, then go help out in an e-commerce class after that, then go for youth. see, yet another packed day.
oh btw, i've been working quite alot on http://www.videoonline.com.my/ recently. it is basically a video uploading website, very much like the famous YouTube, but it is only targetted to business owners to post their business videos so that they can embed them into their existing websites and all. the advantage? no annoying YouTube logo at the bottom blocking up the videos, and no related links thingy popping up after the video ends (this also means no competitors for their business will be shown after the video).
its coming along quite well as i've received lots of enquiries and interested ones but its not fully launched yet. so i can say that this project is quite a success :) i'm planning to do it big as well. hopefully it'll hit the papers soon ;)
and oh, another thing, just to let you all know, my hard disk crashed the other day and i lost nothing BUT MY YOUTH FOLDER!!! MY CALVARY YOUTH FOLDER!! ALL MY DATA AND RECORDS I'VE COMPILED FOR SO LONG ARE GONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! thank God i managed to recover just a quarter of it though. but still!
ps. through all the youth meetings i've been to this week, i can't help but feel that something great is gonna happen in Calvary Youth but it will only happen if all of us are able to see it coming. all of us have to share the same vision for CY and for the church, hence the credo is formed for us to see and make things happen.
come on Calvary Youth, lets impact this generation! it is the dawn of a new generation! :)
dont let the spark go away like that. we're geared (ignited), now lets do the work together!
" this is the generation we see: prayerful, passionate, worship, committed, advancing, building, undivided!" -calvary youth

Chapter 3 (Part 2): The Internet Slangs
i've finally decided to come out with a short guide on internet slags/terms or rather, the well known -- Gaming Terms. (due to the highly increasing usage in our surroundings)
what are internet slangs/terms/gaming terms?these slangs/terms are creatively crafted by INTERNET users at first, and NOT GAMERS. (thought i would stress on that first, heh :P) they are very commonly used in internet messaging. maybe not so much over here in Malaysia, but overseas, yes. they're definitely shorthands and often appear in lower case because UPPER CASE IS RESERVERD FOR EMPHASIS AKA SHOUTING/LOUD. LOL! (you get what i mean)
so, lets start of with something easier/familiar first. *ahem*
1) (the infamous)gg : good game or also used as game gone (commonly used after a game)
2) pwned : owned. also means, destroyed with the quickness and ease with which one would destroy a new player (commonly used in every game. started from Counter Strike)
3) n00b : (typed with two zeros 00 and not OO) refers to newbies in a im-so-great-youre-lousy tone.
4) 1337 : (one-three-three-seven) also means leet. i would say is almost like a language/style itself! where "i" is replaced with 1 or and "N" can be written as "\" and so on. the word 1337 by itself is also used to refer one as "great" or "geng" (lol) too.
5) YOYO : you're on your own. well, it explains itself.
6) WYSIWYG : what you see is what you get
and of course, the commonly used ones that people may not realise they're all a part of this internet slang family:
1) lol : laugh out loud
2) ttyl : talk to you later
3) omg : oh my goodness
4) w8 : wait
5) lmao : laugh 'something' out
6) myob : mind your own business
7) fyi : for your information
8) btw : by the way
9) wtv : whatever
10) bb : bye bye
11) xoxo : [hugs and] kisses (since you all insist) and in any case, it ALSO means Extensible Open Xhtml Outlines.
12) brb : be right back
13) afk : away from keyboard
14) zzzzz : an expression used to show no interest, no comments or just sien
for an example, a conversation between A and B:
A: "abcdefg"
B: "what did you say!? zzzzz"
that concludes today's lesson. if you ever need a dictionary, click here! lol!

Chapter 3 (Part 1): The Ground
its the weekend already. this week went by incredibly fast! i just can't help but to be reminded that our God is a good God. no matter what happens, good or bad, things happen for our own good. we fight, struggle and we always do, wanting what we think is best for us. we always forget that NOONE can plan our lives as well as God does. He knows what is best for us, therefore we should just let Him take control of everything.

Prelude: The Light
Calvary Youth (CA + CCSM) gathered yesterday at Ben Ong's palace to celebrate lantern festival. it was quite cool actually, to have a gathering to get everyone mixing around, fellowshipping with each other. it has been quite awhile since we did something like that together as a youth group.
the celebration started with Darren Yong worship leading, followed by a hilarious skit (story of chang-er and all) in conjunction with lantern (or mooncake) festival. i’ve got a copy of the skit but uploading it now is somewhat troublesome so i’ll skip it for now.
oh btw, the food was very good! i can’t remember all the dishes now but it was good and that’s all it matters. :P there were tons of mooncakes on the table and being janwong, i finished 2 of them myself. i like mooncakes, but it just doesn’t go with coke or even ribena. the Chinese tea (English, actually. lol) came out a little too late.
(treasures in the dark!)
and of course, it was time for games after food. we made our way to the playground opposite Ben’s house, each with lanterns lit. it was quite a sight actually, to see so many lanterns lit up in a really dark playground. guess what? they’re supposed to do treasure hunting in the dark. lol. some of them managed to locate the treasures (4 cans of coke – scattered) very quickly though.
the next game got everyone busy. they were split into teams and were supposed to burn a wet string into half with just 1 candle, with the remaining members trying to ‘defend’ the fire from being blown away by ‘attackers’ (members from other teams). it was quite chaotic i would say, but it was fun. :)
ps.i know the quality isn't good, taken from my phone, bear with it.
as i ponder upon this event, i realised that we all have lanterns and we're supposed to shine, and bring The Light to the darkness, not just gather around each other because there isn't much of a point for it to be bright just at one spot. lights should be all over the place! it is our calling afterall, to be the light of the world...
